Oils and Fats
Oils may be used for cooking or as salad dressings. Acceptable oils include
olive, coconut, and canola. Therefore, mayonnaises with either olive oil or
canola oil are acceptable, but ones with soybean oil are not.
Be sure to read labels. Do not consume soybean, cottonseed, hydrogenated,
vegetable, corn, or safflower oils. A lot of preworkout products contain soybean (FYI).
You may use nut oils (i.e., walnut, almond, macadamia oils) as salad dressings
if you wish, but these are typically very expensive and not meant for cooking.
